Sadly, Aquarium Kraków -Aquarium and Natural History Museum is no longer available to be visited.

What can you see?

Krakow's Aquarium and Natural History Museum is unusual in at least two ways, its location in the center of Krakow, in a nineteenth century, inconspicuous building is one. The second is the very rich and varied species that are presented here. In its collection, the Aquarium has more than 130 species of exotic fish, marine organisms, reptiles and amphibians from around the world. It is one of the largest such collections in Poland. Added attractions are the monkeys - white headed tamarinds, which are critically endangered, furthermore the newly opened Insectarium can be of interest.

Krakow's aquarium is for children of all ages. For the youngest visitors, we anticipate that some of the animals can be quite scary, like a 6-foot Amethyst Python and reaching 9 feet in length, there is a Waran Salvadori.

Especially for children:

In the Krakow Aquarium there are special aquariums and terrariums with the possibility of touching the animals.

Every Sunday from 11am to 16pm there are organized activities for children of all ages. Among them, face painting, making animals from balloons, puzzles, bowling and coloring. These classes are free of charge, when you buy any entrance ticket to the Aquarium.

It is worth mentioning that in the edition of the "kids-friendly places" in 2009, Krakow's Aquarium received a prestigious award - a certificate. This award is given to places that with their atmosphere, as well as equipment help kids and their parents to spend a nice time in the city.
